DM Roofing installed a new roof in the summer of 2018. Just last week I was told by the eavestrough installers that several shingles were missing on the very top ridge of the roof. They ripped off during one of our windstorms. I immediately called and Darren came and fixed it this morning. Steve did the estimate remotely and we worked through the details of a row house, trees, wires and a difficult to access job. Darren came by and we discussed logistics: the how to get the shingles to the roof and where to put the bin. Darren was easy to talk to: straight forward, on time, knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure that I knew if there was more than one layer of old shingles the estimated price would increase. We dealt with the weather issues and then Mo delivered the actual roofing team. The team arrived at 8 am. sharp and worked diligently through a very hot and humid day. They finished the peak roof both sides and a small porch roof by exactly 5pm the "same day". I was amazed at the speed and efficiency. Darren even suggested an added piece of flashing that was installed the next day. The bin was removed promptly and the area (my garden) was cleared and cleaned carefully AND the price came in 'under' (not by much) but under estimate. Roofing is a tough job. PROS: - Good phone communication in the quote/booking process - Scheduled early in the season - Minimal mess left behind CONS: - Left trailer overnight in a “no parking” zone on our street - Uncomfortable phone conversation. To elaborate, there were moans, grunts and other inappropriate noises - very escalated from a typical out of breath conversation. - One of the roofers urinated on our driveway, in view of the street and our video doorbell. - When we brought these concerns back to them, we were not met with much support unfortunately. - Owner canceled on us multiple times when we tried to arrange to meet for payment Overall, this was not a positive experience. Despite DM Roofing being the most expensive quote we received, we chose them because of the reviews and promise of a professional service. Would not recommend to friends or family.
